2025 Symphony Splendor Holiday House Tour

Holiday House Tour Raises Nearly $50,000 for PSO!

The 2025 Symphony Splendor Holiday House Tour was a resounding success, raising more than $47,500 for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The stunning Lake Macleod neighborhood in Gibsonia hosted more than 900 attendees, musicians, docents, and volunteers for an amazing day. Five gracious families welcomed visitors into their magnificent homes, which were decorated to perfection. A total of 104 musicians – including 40 PSO musicians (plus 3 of their children and 2 spouses), 6 PSO staff, 40 students and 13 Mendelssohn Choir members– volunteered their time and talents to make each home come alive with the sounds of the season. Thanks to Irene Cheng for arranging this!

The Launch Party preview event was a festive evening featuring more than 70 guests filled with holiday cheer (including Santa Claus poolside!), fabulous food by John Marshall catering, and an incredible concert featuring five PSO musicians. The limited auction (which featured a concert by the PSO quintet as one of the prizes) raised more than $3,000! The house tour also featured a vendor boutique at the nearby Treesdale Community Center, and attendees were excited to get an early start to their shopping for specialty holiday gifts.

This event could not have happened without so many volunteers giving their time and talents. Thank you to everyone who supported this event by attending, volunteering, or donating. We were truly overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.

As always, the Pittsburgh Symphony Association’s signature event was a marvelous kickoff to the holiday season!

If anyone has any Christmas decorations (or knows someone who does)) that they would like to donate to this committee, please contact Sue Breedlove at smbreedlove@gmail.com.
