- The tour begins at 11:00 AM and concludes at 4:00 PM. The Tour is not handicapped accessible
- If you have purchased the bus tour, report no later than 10:30 to the parking lot behind Central Catholic High School, 4720 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Once you show your printed or phone purchased ticket email confirmation, you will be assigned a bus and receive your program book. Participants should plan to brown bag their lunches and water.
- If you are on the self-guided tour, begin at the ticket booth, 925 Amberson Street, Pittsburgh, where you will exchange your printed or digital purchase email confirmation for your program book, which lists the garden addresses with a bit of information about each.
- YOU MUST PRESENT THE PROGRAM BOOK TO BE ADMITTED TO EACH GARDEN. NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT IT.
- Gardens can be toured in any order, with tour docents in each garden. Please follow the designated paths.
- Please do not block driveways, and park so that residents, buses and tour guests can travel easily. A group of gardens is located along a very narrow strret. A free shuttle is provided to those gardens. Any cars parked along this street that are not owned by residents may be towed.
- You may take photographs of the gardens. No tripods, please.
- Eating and smoking are not permitted in any of the gardens. Water bottles are permitted. Please use trash receptacles when discarding anything.
- No restrooms are available in the homes. A restroom is available at the Tour headquarters at 925 Amberson.
- Children 12 and over are welcome with an adult and a ticket.
- Bring your umbrellas if it is raining. The tour goes on, rain or shine. Your ticket purchase is a donation and is not refundable.
- Wear comfortable, flat walking shoes.
