House Calls – TBA
Our initial House Calls event was a Feb. 15 visit to the home of PSO Principal Harp Gretchen Van Hoesen, and her husband, retired PSO Co-Principal Oboe James Gorton. Joining them were their daughter Heidi Bearcroft, Toronto Symphony Orchestra Principal Harp, and Jeremy Black, PSO Principal Second Violin.. Jim Gorton hosted the program, during which the musicians talked about the many solo parts of Ein Heldenleben on the Feb. 18, 20 PSO Concert. Jeremy played the violin solo for this event; Gretchen and Heidi performed several harp duets. Gretchen performs on a Lyon Healy harp that the PSA Fine Instrument Fund purchased for PSO.

Symphony Splendor Holiday House Tour – November 2022
Symphony Splendor 2022 has returned to launch the holidays with a too-merry-to-miss tour of a Millionaire’s Row mansion in Shadyside the weekend before Thanksgiving. An 1896 three-story posh abode that will be transformed into a Dickens-era fantasy, down to the tiniest detail with nary a humbug in sight . . . but with such exuberance that visitors will gasp in astonishment. Because the owners believe that, when it comes to Christmas, “too much is never enough!” Details to come.
