On Thursday, June 26, 2025 the Pittsburgh Symphony Association had one of the most creative, amazing preview parties at Inventionland, in RIDC Park in Fox Chapel. As you entered the building, you walked through a hall of Medieval knights with bannered flags overhead. Suddenly, you were surrounded by a full–size pirate ship, a farm house, Mother Goose’s shoe, and a large stone castle with King Arthur’s round table! Building after building continued to amaze our visitors.
Visitors gasped with surprise as they toured this creation of George Davison, the owner of the building , which is over 62,000 square feet and is used as a creative environment for those who think outside the box to create new inventions. On one street in the building, blown up photos of the eight gardens on the tour were displayed for a preview of Sunday’s event.
The evening began with a welcome from PSA president, Cathy Trombetta, CEO,
Melia Tourangeau, and owner George Davison. A delicious buffet dinner was
served in the whimsical Kitchen Café by Suzy Flannery’s team, and this was followed by a live auction with guest auctioneer, Neill Stouffer. To say it was an awesome evening is an understatement!
